Thanks very much, Paul. What has made ClubLads so pleasurable from our point of view is that our "regulars" have stuck with us and, in effect, become part of the ClubLads team. That means a whole lot to Mike and me, and makes it all worthwhile. OK, then - onwards and upwards - "Per Ardua Ad Astra", as we used to say in my RAF days !! I suppose the alternative is "Nil Carborundum Illegitimati" (never let the bastards grind you down!). Friends (as Hughie Green used to say!) we will go on bringing you ClubLads and enjoy doing so. Yes, Robert, the EU is making this business such a difficulty lately. The main bugbear right now is the Penile (Proportionate Girth and Extension) Regulations, as amended by the Verticality Provisions Order. It means we can only use models guaranteed to get it up to an angle not greater than 30 degrees from the vertical, which puts a great deal of muscular activity the way of the larger-hung members of the male species !! |

Hmm, as far as I know, Kelvin is 28 and was 25 when he did his shoots. I have to say the hang up about physical age can be a pain - we have guys aged 18 and 19 who look much older and guys of 23-25 who look younger - here at ClubLads we try to use our judgement to bring you good looking youthful guys who will fit the "twink" description |

Natural wastage, seems to be the term they use in business nowadays. The vast majority of our models come along for a shoot, and will happily follow up with 2-3 more, but when there is no longer any need for the money - when Uni finishes, for example, many don`t want to continue. Add to that the frequent moves, changes of phone number, etc of those we lose touch with, and you will see why a constant stream of new guys is a real need. |

Thank you for raising this matter, Paul, which is very relevant and very important. You will know that, whilst 90% of ClubLads content is our own material, we do supplement our updates with occasional material provided by trusted sources, mainly from South Africa and the Philippines. I am completely satisfied that in all cases where we have used bought-in material, including the Thong-Jimm set, the models are of legal age, and were so at the time the images were taken. I always insist on full ID material and copies of modelling contracts to ensure that ClubLads always remains within the law. I shall cover this matter in more detail in an item I will publish very soon in our "Club News" section. Meanwhile to reassure you, and any other responsibly-minded Members who may have some doubt, I have replaced image 002 in the series with an image showing a copy of both boys` ID. Thanks again for raising this, Paul - your committment and interest in the site is valued and very much appreciated. |

I have seen a couple of neat photos of Tigger out on the internet by Clublads. One has him in his scout shirt and nothing else. My question: Where can I find the rest of the set?
The other picture is of Tigger leaning up against the vaulting horse next to a lad who is built a bit bigger than him. I have never been able to find this or the set here.
Could you please shed some light?

Hi Kiwiboy. A little explanation needed here. The pictures of Tigger in his US Scout shirt were accompanying stills images to a video being produced by our good friends at StingPictures, not a gallery as such. The same is true of the photos of Tigger and the slightly older guy, Rocky. Having said that, I have checked through the images for both of these items and there will be enough to produce a bonus gallery comprising both events. | So Larry is a wee bit nervous and insecure and it shows in his face --- that`s marvellous! A genuine, sincere expression that acts like a clear window into the boy`s thoughts, moods and feelings. As the shoot progresses, his facial expressioin changes subtly and you can see he`s feeling more at home. How infinitely preferable is such a shoot to those where the boy wears a fixed "mask" which attempts to convey the impression of delight or rapture - in an entirely artifical way! |

We`re going to have a go at a small redesign, to include that idea, but some models value their privacy, so it won`t always be possible. Just to give you an idea of what our models get up to: we have a midwife (yes!!), a charge nurse in charge of an intensive care unit, three trainee lawyers, a young policeman who has just completed his training, several dancers and dance instructors of various sorts, personal trainers, retail workers, a mechanic, a guardsman, several computer-field workers and loads of students of various disciplines. Hopefully at least some of them will be happy for us to disclose their "real" jobs. |

Jonnar, thanks for the fast reply. I understand your positon and those laws suck! The judicial hypocrisy surroundind sex and censorship law is defeaning. The idea that you can do something once you are 16 but cannot look at images of it or be seen doing it until you are 18 is a clear example of this.

We need to be very careful about school uniform shoots in UK - the law is so awkward here in so many ways - not only is it illegal to photograph actual under-18s but it can be construed to cover images which intend to portray someone over 18 as being under that age. For that reason we do not use such material lightly - and only where we feel we can argue a strong case that no intent was implied or apparent. We will try to present something similar if at all possible when we can |

| I joined to your site in February 28. Since that time it had impossible to view the complete images, the only view I have is an incomplete pick.
What is it happpening? It seem like your system has had a big failure.
I don`t know. But the fact is that I cannot view the boys complete.

Hi Raul.
I think the problem is that you are running an older version of Internet Explorer. The site is designed to run with Internet Explorer 5.5 and above. To check which version you have, go to Help and then About Internet Explorer.

Hi Chris. Yes, we removed audio from the videos, which significantly decreases the file size and therefore makes downloading much quicker. Could we have some feedback from members, please? Would you prefer a soundtrack - and if so, the natural sounds or a music soundtrack? |

Erm, we seem to be at cross purposes here! Saqib has definitely NOT left us. He is just as keen as ever to do more shoots with us. Any delays have been caused entirely by me for various unavoidable reasons, including illness. I have now arranged a shoot with him on 11th February and that shoot will appear on site within a couple of weeks after that date. Patience mes braves!! |

I`m so glad you have written about young David. He seems to be very under-rated for such a delightful youngster. At present he is working hard and doing very well at a new job, and generally getting his life into a happy state - new girlfriend, successful job, new sensible attitude - but he has promised me that he will come along soon and model for some more photos. Incidentally his body is now developing very well, so a new shoot will be a very pleasant revelation ! |

Hi Paul, you may have to download WIndows Media 9 codecs (which is freely available on the web). If you have WIndows Media Player 10 (the latest version of Media Player), go to the Help menu and select Check for updates. Hope that helps |

Video Features: All has now been arranged to provide our video features in both a series of clips and in the option of a download of the entire video, for those of you with broadband and the patience to wait for the download to complete !
This coming Saturday`s update will consist of two items - one photo gallery and one video, so we will put that into effect straightaway.
Videos already on site will have the full length version added as soon as possible.
Even the full length version is edited from the original videoshoot, but we hope to be able to bring you DVDs soon, each of which will contain the full, unexpurgated versions of six of our video features.
All that is holding us back are the matters surrounding online sales - not now permissable on a UK site under UK law. We are negotiating with foreign adult shopping sites to accept our material for sale and will then advise you of where you can buy our DVDs. |

We haven`t had any expressions of interest lately in the Photo Meets, but I`m always ready to provide studio and model(s) for any photographers wishing to do a shoot with our lads. We usually arrange sessions for up to five photographers (or guys just wanting to watch a shoot for the site), and a good time is had by all, for a very reasonable fee. Wondering why you have used Authentix to protect your images and not your members directories. I was thinking of joining, but after looking around I got stuck in a maze of Enter Your Username / Password options. Could not get back to the Home page as the back button just keeps reloading the same page time and time again. To make matters worse there are simple logo pictures missing from your index page!! |

Just wanted to say I like the new "style", took some getting used to, but apart from the slow loading, I like it! Good to see all the pics per gallery on one page.
Video sample took forever though!!!, anf a shame that the models aren`t indexed as before (or are they, ane I`m missing it?)
Having become a recent member, I would also like to say that more of Raj or Saqib would be welcome at ANY time! Definitely my 2 favourite models of yours. Also, any plans to do a follow up session with Alix, now that he has tried (and enjoyed?!) his first session. If so, maybe less make up would be better. Saw him yesterday at Brighton Pride, and the stunning features are much better "raw".
Thanks again for a brilliant site. Not all models to my taste, but hey, that`s life eh!

Thanks for your posting. We are currently working to improve the slow loading and are going to change the method of access to the videoclips to speed that up - we have a problem with streaming videos right now, so it is likely that, for the time being, we will make them available in the form of downloadable zipfiles. More of Raj and Saqib soon - they are both very popular and we are going to respond to that interest with lots more of these great young guys. Alix may well be persuaded - I also hope he will pose "au naturel" in all respects as I agree that he looks loads better without the make up!! |

Hi Paul. The problem should be easy to solve. On the Tools menu, go to Internet Options and the Security tab and then Custom level and then there are five options near the top with ActiveX in it, set these to enable or Prompt and your problem should be rectified |

Thanks Robert! Sorry to have given you such a shock on Monday morning. I've gotta say that Monday morning shocks are not usually to my tastes and also that sunglasses are often in order for me on a Monday morning, but that's usually on account of too much red wine the night before
I've gotta to let you guys know that I'm just a mouthpiece for this site and that the true work has been put in by my Webmaster Mike and some great input also from Rik (who you might like to know is on the site as model Mitchell). These two guys completely bewilder me with their knowledge of all things computer-eze and on behlaf of all you members, I wanna thank them both for the great work they've put into making ClubLads a bright and modern delight.

Sorry you're not happy with the new design. There are some teething problems to be resolved, but as we promised to deliver a new site by the end of July, we have brought to you what we can and are aware that it needs quite a bit of tidying. We can see that Club Twinks is very slow loading because of the sheer amount of material and we are working to resolve that problem. I would have hoped for a little more understanding when we are trying to bring you such large scale improvements, but I thank you for your membership to date and hope that you may wish to re-consider your decision when you see the polished end product of our work. |

| Hey is me Jason, just read what u wrote in the guestbook and too felt the same way . Great that U are considering doing a `normal` gallery of london... think that it will be a great idea. However, U have to face the fact that this is a porn site ... a gay porn site in fact so, doing a gallery JUST about london might not be that suitable(and boring). Why not , try to act the boys in and do it artistically. For example , u can do a shoot of boys suntanning at london bridge near the london eye or, a shoot in the county ... or get ur whole bunch of internationally diverse models and do some nice shoot around london . (this too shows the cosmopolitain and diverse culture of london; that regard races, nationailty and orientation all will stand tall together). Mainly, i think it will be the best if u are able to portray the beautiful side of london; though is a sad time now however , London is still full of beautiful boys that makes this a truly unique and wonderous `gay` city ! Need not to be porn ... U can do it in a sexy way .... just a suggestion. |

| A small and totally inadequate thank you to the many members who have mailed me to make sure all is well with us all - models and staff - here at ClubLads after the obscene carnage of the recent bomb blasts here in London. I am constantly surprised and gratified by the consideration and care shown by our members - who range across the whole world - and am gobsmacked by your kindness. Thank you one and all. All is well with us all here, and you can rest assured that the usual stiff upper lip (I could say something crude like "due to the sweet crusted jizz on it!" - but of course I won`t!) continues to keep us Brits going about our normal business. He he, Kris ! No problems - one very sexy shoot of Benjy in the can - shot on Saturday - and will be here on site within 2-3 weeks. Benjy also completed a very sexy shoot with Brent, which I`m sure you will also enjoy, AND has completed a great solo video sequence which will be here as one of a whole range of hot solo videos. We have finally managed to crack the various technical problems associated with getting decent quality videoclips for members to download and view and (God willing) the first, "trailer" clip will be here within the next 2-3 days - so keep tuned in. |

He is aged 22 and so he is in the prime target age range for this ailment. It is the cancer which most affects men in the 15 to 34 age group. Did you realise it can also spread elsewhere in the body? I have closed the Yahoo! group because I have already had two mails demanding details of models`ID and Model Release for pictures which were posted on the site (though not by me). As they are not my models I clearly cannot provide such information but, as moderator of a site, operated in USA by a US corporation, it could be held that I am liable if, in fact there should be any breach of the latest draconian US laws, foisted on the world by a small clique of right wing "christian" fanatics. Frankly, though my own operations are all entirely legal I cannot absolutely guarantee the legality of pictures posted on a Yahoo! group - so it had to go, I`m afraid. |

Actually, I agree with Robert about Denny - he would look better without the make-up, but that was the way he turned up for the shoot, so that was how we worked. I never use make-up to enhance any of our models, but nor would I ask a model to change his everyday style/appearance. ClubLads is all about photographing UK boys-next-door just as they would look if you met them in the street. We`ve had a lot of comments about this. It`s interesting that the few negative comments we get usually come from our non-UK members. The positive remarks are usually from our own, and as I am aiming this site mainly to suit UK members (because I think I can more easily relate to their wants, being a Brit myself), I am happy with that. Now please don`t get me wrong - I am very very pleased that so many non-UK discerning guys have joined us, and view that as a real compliment to the site. I deliberately set out to have ClubLads really represent UK lads in all their special delight, from whatever ethnic background, expecting that it would appeal to the UK punter - and hoping that visitors to our shores would appreciate our own rather eccentric but (I hope) appealing style.
This has turned into rather a rambling discourse, but I hope it expresses a very open, inclusive approach to the variety of material we hope to show. As long as it is all about Brit boys-next-door it`s in! And, if we don`t have the skinny, pale slavic waifs that so many seem to favour that is because they are not what we get here in UK. So thats it, folks - the ClubLads philosophy - not exactly in a nutshell, but explained as best as I can. And PLEASE, all of you, from wherever and about whatever, DO continue giving your views here in the guestbook or by mailing me and letting me know whatever you want to tell me. |

So many of you have written to ClubLads and posted on the guest book to say how special you feel Saqib is, and how much more you want to see of him. A member has now suggested that we might like to start a Saqib Club - perhaps a site devoted to him, or a monthly "magazine" on CD/DVD or downloadable - with regular hot material from this stunning young guy. | Will someone at Clublads please tell me what direction your going, last week we got the she male Jom in a gallery belonging to a fetish site and this week we get Ian a very good looking lad but stuck in a long overdrawn gallery, by picture 25 I was starting to lose interest , by picture 45 I was almost asleep. I hope that my use of "friend" does not offend you, but anyone who treats me with the courtesy you have shown deserves such an appellation.
It was, in fact, your courtesy which led me to join ClubLads, albeit only for a short time.
Your`s appears to be an `honest` site, giving what it promises. My only reason for not planning to maintain membership is that I find most of your models to be non-attractive, and please note that I say non-attractive rather than un-attractive.
I try to remember to give thanks each day that I find so few people "attractive", in the truest meaning of the word. If it weren`t for the built-in profiling, I`d be stepping on my pointer every I went out in public. And if everyrone found the same people attractive, can you imagine the drool-paths to the "chosen" doors? In the winter, in northern climes, can you visualise a frozen drool-ramp to the second floor?

| Hi Paul: I would agree with you that Verotel are by no means what we want from a billing company. I would estimate about a third of our members have problems joining, renewing or accessing CL through Verotel. Unfortunately we are rather stuck with them just now. As you probably know, Western governments (led by the US) have been putting pressure on Visa and Mastercard in an attempt to suppress the adult industry. This has resulted in American Visa and the US Mastercard equivalent imposing fees on adult sites - the minimum I have seen has been a $1250 initial fee, followed by $350 every 6 months. This is impossible for a low revenue site such as CL, which barely pays its way, so we have to resort to European Visa, etc. Initially Verotel were great, but then they started this Tickets Club nonsense, whch is a complete pigs ear, but an ear where we are stuck right down in the wax !! There may be good news soon, though. We are working on alternatives, involving direct bank transfers/cash transfers etc, through such systems as No Chex, and we hope soon to be able to offer the choice of payment through Visa/Verotel, or payments by transfer direct to us from your bank by No Chex (for UK)and by another provider for Europe and other non-US applicants. US, I`m afraid, will still be landed with Verotel, until we can work out how to rescue them from their government`s vindictiveness. There will also be an option to post us cash or a cheque - a very simple option, you may think, except that every membership at $9.95 costs us £8 (ie, about $15) in UK bank transaction charges !! Sheesh, what a muddle!! Keep an eye out for our new "Join" page, with (hopefully) a shopping cart for direct purchase of CDs, videos, etc, as soon as we can steer our way through all the minefields. | Have to disagree about the summer, Paul. In our neck of the woods there were hardly more than three rain-free days consecutively this "summer". That, though, is not the reason for the absence of outdoor shoots. In South-East England there are remarkably few places where it is possible to shoot adult work outside, unless you pay the owner of suitable properties a hefty fee. Add in travel costs and the extra time for which the model has to be paid for travelling and the cost of a shoot more than doubles. On a budget site, charging about a fiver a month for membership, that just is not practicable. Give me the open plains and deserts of the USA, the vast tracts of the Australian outback or the Eastern European steppes (with their cut-price models thrown in too!!) and I`ll happily produce the outdoor stuff. Alternatively, boost ClubLads membership by 50% or so and we would have the revenue for the extra costs. Until then, outdoor shoots will be few and far between, I`m afraid. Perhaps members can help with suggestions of practical locations in SE England where we could shoot comfortably?? And while I`m on the moan, does anyone know of any available building in London and the South East with a communal shower facility - which we`re desperately seeking both for photoshoots and to complete our first full length action video. | Hi Paul. Hope the "stopping smoking" is going well !! Funnily enough, although JJ wasn`t grinning lke a Cheshire Cat, he was happy enough to experiment in the shoot - enjoyed the early stages, but then got a bit bored with it - he was intrigued to start with, then found it wasn`t something he could get into. I have to say again that this was entirely his idea - it wasn`t a suggestion we put to JJ. As far as Scott is concerned - "patience mon brave!". Part two of Scott`s recent shoot will appear in early December - we have so many other gorgeous guys, both new and returning, to bring you that he joins our 3-month scheduling in turn with them. We are hoping again this year to produce a Chistmas Bonanza Week and if all our plans work out Scott will most definitely feature in that! Cheers. Jonnar |

| f I may address the Joshua bondage set published on BoyBox again. I`m sure the set that Dave shoot was expansive, but what was actually printed was slim. It seemed to me the transition from fully clothed to fully nude was much too abrupt. I would have like to have seen more images from the shoot. I enjoy the fact that the presentations here are more leisurely. |

I was the photographer on th eJoshua shoot for the bondage set, this was commisioned by BoyBox and was shot to their requirements, i would not say abbreviated lol.
I have spoken to Joshua recently and at the moment he does not have internet access so i doubt he will recieve you mail, i also believe he is taking a break at the moment from modelling but who knows he may be persuaded to return sometime

Jack is next scheduled to appear on 4th September, and CJ will be reappearing at the end of the year (probably the 2nd week of December, though the exact date may vary between now and then). | To Robin the gaysite cyber cop: Jonnar may be pleased with the effort you make in defending his site but what has your statement that this site operates in a professional way to do with someone stating an opinion about visual aids? And is it more professional to make sure the models browse porn mags while doing a shoot than using only their imagination? Do I need to know how a site operates in order to make a comment? I understand that you dont like me saying "bad" things about sites you happen to adore but if everyone keeps their mouth shut about something they dont like do you expect the site to progress in quality as fast vs if only positive comments were made? | Yes, Robin, it can all get a little complicated and awkward with the current state of UK laws. It is excellent that in UK we are, as in USA, vigilant to protect minors from exploitation. We are utterly stringent in our ID requirements - on two occasions I have been lucky to detect forged ID material presented by wannabe models. My view is that youthful looking guys are attractive, providing we do nothing to give any impression of their being younger than legal - so no "schoolboy" outfits, no use by young looking guys of cuddly toys, etc. By applying these self-imposed restrictions we may be limiting our options in comparison with those countries where younger looking boys can be legally employed as models for adult work, but we are meeting the proper requirements for our biggest market - the UK and the USA. I also feel more comfortable myself if we do not provide material which tittilates those people who go for under age lads. I hope we have got the balance right, but I do hope members will let us know if they have doubts about our content. We exist to provide you with an enjoyable membership. |

Do you think now that that law has changed re the possession of material featuring young persons 18 and also material where said young persons "look" under 18 has / is changing the face of UK based / produced gay porn ? | Hi Robin: Yes, we have had some input from symbolic - and he`s very welcome, as of course are you. Videoclips are proving a big problem for us right now. We have quite a stock of good clips, but are having problems with software to compress them into manageable downloads. My hotshot tech guy, Mike, is working hard at sorting this, and we have called in some outside expertise - so hopefully not too long before we crack this one.
We are also having major problems with setting up a shopping cart, mainly due to all sorts of crazy capers by the major credit card companies - does anybody know of a reliable billing company for tangible goods who will provide for an adult site, based outside US, that doesn`t have $1500 initially and $500 every six months to spare?? In a nutshell thats our problem: adult, non-US and without funds to throw at the problem. Puts every shopping cart we have tracked down out of the frame. Any thoughts much appreciated, thanks, guys. |

As I said in BR/Guestbook I was in my way attempting to defend your site and perhaps my comments re use of, shall we say "visual aids" were, with regard to ClubLads, a little mis-placed ? Perhaps if Symbolic realised just how a site like ClubLads operates and indeed the professional way in which it does so then he might think twice before opening his mouth !
Another (different) point ? The only thing that really stops me for taking out a membership to your site is the absence of video material ? I know you have touched on this before and I believe you have great plans for the future ? Are there any developments you might care to tell us about, maybe tip the balance membership wise ?

High time I answered the last two Guestbook entries - sorry for the silence!! Tigger in a duo.... possibly. He came to us declaring he is very str8 (and indeed he really manages to pull the girls), but he has been fairly adventurous so far, and there are hopes of some duo action from him soon. Replying to Paul`s comments re picture size: it would be good to produce larger images, but it`s just not financially possible right now. Every time someone clicks on a ClubLads picture it uses "bandwidth". The bigger the picture, the more bandwidth used. We get charged for bandwidth usage and as we operate on a shoestring (because we always pay our models the very top rate for the job), we need to keep our expenditure down - at least until we have succeeded in building up a much larger membership. It would be great if we were based in Eastern Europe or the Far East, where models cost about a fifth the fee here in UK !! Hope that explains it all - in essence we are trying to use our resources to bring you new features as we can afford them, and to do that we have to stick with present picture sizing. Thanks, George for your kind comments about our models and their photosets. I have to agree with you, though, about our video clips. I agree they are very poor quality and it is certainly a priority for us to change that. This is on our list of "to do" things, but we have been bedevilled by problems in sorting this out. Please bear with us while we deal with this - we have quite a number of other clips to put up on site once we are sure we can deliver you a much more attractive show than we can offer at present. |

Accept your viewpoint, symbolic, but you`d be amazed how many like the idea of young str8s getting horny - this was a particular theme for a particular gallery, and not intended as any sort of precedent or trend. In trying to cater for as wide a selection of tastes/interests as possible there will inevitably be some themes which do not attract some people. As the old saying goes, "you cant please all the people all of the time", but we will try to please as many of our members as possible, as much of the time as we can !! |

Thanks for your comments, Michael - we`ll keep on adding all the attractive young black and latino guys we can find, but they are few and far between, or at least those willing to get nekkid and horny are !! | Wow, this weeks pics are great (8/05/2004) but can we please have more of the following urgently please JACK and RAJ especially, oh and Piet, Coyote, Lee and CJ. Infact all 6 of them together in one shoot would be amazing, especially jack and raj. Keep up the good work!!! |

Hey, guys, you sure are letting us know what`s needed!! Piet is away back in Sth Africa right now, and Lee is no longer modelling, but all the other guys are up for it. You`ll be pleased to know we already have shoots in the pipeline from Raj, Jack, Coyote and CJ - so keep your eyes peeled for these pleasures to come. WOW ! That`s a tall order, Paul. We`ll certainly bring you more of as many of these lads as we can, but some of them are no longer available - James, Jay, Nicholas, Reuben amongst them.
